Teaching practice - Phase 1 - weekly Report

 16/07/2025 to 18/07/2025

        On 16th july 2025 we started our teaching practice in HSS Chettikulangara. At 9.15 am we reached the school and signed in the register. Then all the team members splited to meet their concerned teachers. I meeted Remya teacher and Vaisakh sir. They gave me proper guidance and directions. My first class on the third period in 9D. The subject I alloted is chemistry for 9D and physics for 9A. On third period I went to 9.D and introduce me and started my first class. It was my first experience. I was really enjoyed.the topic I taught us introduction to periodic table. I mentioned the history of periodic table the students were very co operative and I enjoyed a lot. Then we moved to serve lunch and 7th period me along with rajeena and Sangeeth went to 9.E as substitute and engaged students with some games and activities. It was really fun we tried to manage and make active then. After this period and National anthem we signed in the register and returned to home.

       On 17th July 2025 I reached school by 9.15. Today my class was for 9.A on third period. I entered the class and introduce me. There was 24 students in the class. I taught the topic total internal reflection. I used experimental method to demonstrate TIR using laser and water in a beaker. I think it was interesting for the students. They observed carefully and participated in the discussion. Then I recalled about the different natural phenomenon and uncovered the reason behind it. The topic was quite confusing but I think the demonstration was effective. Also the students co operated with me. After the class we went for lunch. Then on 7th period I got substitution in 8E. Me along with Sangeeth engaged the students in various games. Memory game, word puzzling, number game etc were conducted in that class. All the students actively participated in the games. Then after national anthem we returned to home.

     On 18th July 2025 I reached school by 9.15 there was an educational strike on that day. So no regular classes was there. So we continued in lesson planning and our work. On evening we returned to home. 


Biweekly Report

 On 21th july 2025 I reached school by 9.15 and signed in the register. The day was quite cloudy and rainy. The morning section was totally free for us. On afternoon we served lunch for students. My class was on the last period for 9.D. I taught the topic Main group elements. The period was quite short only 30 minutes duration, and also the students was so tired so I used charts and activity cards to make active participation. After the class and National anthem I signed in the register and returned to home.

     On 22,23,July 2025 Holiday was declared due to the death of former Chief minister VS Achudanandhan. Also 24th July 2025 was a public holiday.

    On 25th July 2025, it was a rainy day I reached the school by 9.15 am and signed in the register. I got substitution in 9A class on third period. I started a new chapter equations of motion. I started with displacement by a teaching model. And I demonstrated the difference between displacement and distance by participating students in the class with a small activity for better understanding. I used activity cards for differentiating distance and displacement I got better responses from the class. After the class we went to serve lunch and on 7th period I again went to 9. A and the rain was continuing due to the heavy concept in the morning I decided to make an activity. I instructed them to wrote about their family. I collected all the entries and kept with me. After that session and National anthem I signed in the register and returned to home.

   On 26th July 2025, Today was a Saturday but there was remedial class for the students with the timetable of Thursday. Heavy rain was continuing from the morning. I reached the school on 9.15 and signed in the register. Today my class for 3rd period for 9.A I taught the topic Velocity. I used charts and ICT for better understanding. I started the class with recalling sports and running race and I introduced speed then moved to velocity. I stressed about the importance of direction in velocity. My review section was effective I distributed different stickers to them and instructed them to paste the correct. All the students did it correctly so I was quite happy and proud. Also for finding the unit I used pieces of chart. I was so happy for the class. Then on lunch time we went to serve lunch. On 6th period again I got substitution on 9.A and to maintain the continuity t taught uniform velocity and non uniform velocity. I used black board and for better understanding on circular path I used ICT video showing movement of a tire. Also I used activity cards. After the class and National anthem I signed in the register and returned to home.
